Turning a telecoms emergency into a cost saving.

The Challenge

Our customer is a telecoms company. When they lost power without warning we stepped in to provide emergency power. Even a single day without power is costly for telecoms companies, as traffic can’t get through their phone masts and customers get a weak signal. Within a couple of weeks they had a planned outage at the same site and asked us to get involved.

The Solution

Our Reading depot responded to the first emergency and had power restored the same day. When it came to the second planned power outage, we did a site survey and were able to save them money by using the same generator to power both masts at the same time.
